Potentiometer

A potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor with a sliding or rotating contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider. If only two terminals are use one end and the wiper, it acts as a variable resistor or rheostat. The measuring instrument called a potentiometer is essentially a voltage divider used for measuring electric. Signaler une autre image Vous avez trouvé des images choquantes.

Two terminals are connected to both ends of a resistive element, and the third terminal connects to a sliding contact, called a wiper, moving over the resistive element. The position of the wiper determines the output voltage of the potentiometer. Shop with confidence on eBay! In this example, that value controls the rate at which an LED blinks.

We connect three wires to the Arduino board. The first goes to ground from one of the outer pins of the potentiometer. An adjustable potentiometer can open up many interesting user interfaces.

Potentiometers are available at Mouser Electronics. Turn the pot and the resistance changes. Connect VCC to an outer pin, GND to the other, and the center pin will have a voltage that varies from to VCC depending on the rotation of the pot.

Hook the center pin to an ADC on a microcontroller and. Meaning, pronunciation, translations and examples.
